Police are appealing for the public’s help to trace a missing Manchester man.

Michael Edward Gannon, 56, is a resident at the Moston Grange Nursing Home in Newton Heath and went missing on 1 July 2013.

It is then believed Michael had a fall and was admitted to hospital but subsequently discharged himself before he could receive treatment.

He has not been seen or heard from since.

Michael is described as being white, about 5ft 2in tall, with short white hair and blue eyes. He speaks with an Irish accent. When he was last seen he was wearing a green checked shirt and blue denim jeans.

Michael’s father is critically ill so police are keen to trace Michael urgently.

Police are appealing to anyone who has information about his whereabouts to call police on 101.
