Arc is an award-winning charity which uses the arts and creativity to help people become resilient, healthy and active citizens.  At Arc we understand how creativity can promote good mental health and wellbeing – through therapeutic programmes in our Arc Centre studios and in healthcare settings, through community-building projects, through enterprise opportunities and leisure-based activities.

At the heart of everything we do is a commitment to supporting people who may be particularly vulnerable, through high quality socially engaged arts experiences and programmes.

Arc is investing in new ways to develop and grow having won a 5 year grant from the Big Lottery Fund.  We are recruiting 4 voluntary Trustees to join our Board to help us achieve our vision and govern the charity.  We specifically need a Treasurer and may be creating a Vice-Chair role in the future.

WHY BE A TRUSTEE OF ARC?  WELL HERE ARE 5 GOOD REASONS!

GIVE: Contribute your time, knowledge, ideas and experiences to strategically govern Arc and keep us on the right path.

CONNECT:  Being a Trustee is all about collective responsibility and representing the wants and needs of our stakeholders when making important decisions for the Charity.  We’re a team within the Arc family of staff, volunteers and people who benefits from our existence.

BE ACTIVE:  We meet around once a month and you may be asked or want to join one of our sub-committees or volunteer in other areas of the organisation’s work.

LEARN:  Trustees have a unique role within Charities.  You can learn new skills and have experiences of leadership, being an employer, marketing, finance and relationships as well as different approaches to mental wellness and recovery.
