A MENTAL health service is hosting an awareness event to coincide with World Mental Health Day.

art at Bank houseBank House, in Swadlincote, is inviting members of the public along to its autumn fair to consult with health experts and learn about the array of different problems with mental health.

A spokesman for Bank House said: “Part of the aim of World Mental Health Day is to promote awareness in local communities of mental health issues, which many people don’t realize can also include areas such as drug and alcohol abuse, stress, debt problems as well as the more familiar problems of depression and schizophrenia.

“Bank House offers a free local service for adults with mental health issues, offering a holistic approach, taking account of an individual’s emotional, physical, social, spiritual and psychological needs.”

The autumn fair will take place on Friday, October 10 at Bank House in Alexandra Road, Swadlincote, from 11am until 4pm.
