We Hereby Give Notice with Immediate Effect:
To: Manchester Mental Health & Social Care Trust and all concerned parties including Manchester City Council Joint Health & Scrutiny Committee, under the present chair of Manchester City Councillor: Bev Craig.
We would like this statement read out at the Manchester Mental Health & Social Care Trust: workshop meeting at the Trust HQ at Chorton House, on Monday 9th November 2015 and that copies be made available to all present.
Manchester User’s Network members standing in solidarity with The Manchester Mental Health Charter Alliance pertaining statement issued by them on the 4Th November, 2015 and other concerned and outraged groups whose members after agreement hereby proclaim; we will not attend as a means of demonstration of our collective protest at the Manchester Mental Health & Social Care Trust led workshop meeting regarding the investment of £200,000 scheduled to meet on the 9 November 2015.
Manchester Users Network, along with other concerned and outraged groups, whose members after agreement, furthermore proclaim that we have observed that The Manchester Mental Health Charter Alliance had been engaging with the Trust regarding the STEP DOWN program however, the second stage was set in motion before the Charter Alliance had chance to monitor the success of the first stage.
There has been no consultation regarding the £1.5 million pounds cuts to NON CORE services. The Manchester Mental Health Charter Alliance had been told that they would be involved in the consultation of the imminent cuts.
By not attending this Trust run consultation, we are collectively taking a stance, and Manchester User’s Network will now ONLY attend with other concerned parties the one-day consultation event being imminently organised by the Manchester City Council Joint Health & Scrutiny Committee.
Dated Monday 9Th November 2015.
