Mental health worker asked vulnerable woman to perform sex act on herself
David Kelly, 52, encouraged the victim, who has schizophrenia and a number of other conditions, to touch herself intimately, after turning up at her home.
She was said to have been left feeling ‘embarrassed and ashamed’ by the incident and has struggled to comes to terms with it.
People with mental health issues from Greater Manchester have been put in care up to 180 miles away as pressure on services mounts, the M.E.N. can reveal.
NHS figures show five patients from the region were placed between 125 and 185 miles away as of December by Greater Manchester West NHS Foundation Trust.
The man was so upset at the lack of assistance and understanding from both the Manchester Mental Health & Social Care Trust and Greater Manchester Police that he contacted the Manchester Evening News to help bring the alleged incident to the public’s attention.
